After signing on loan for the Canaries yesterday, Russell Martin has said he would welcome the chance to make the move permanent.
Martin who played under City boss Paul Lambert and first team coach Ian Culverhouse at Wycombe Wanderers, moved to Peterborough in 2008 and captained them to a runners up spot.
The right back is eligible to play for City in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy and FA Cup and is likely to go straight into the Lambert’s squad for Saturday’s FA Cup fixture at Brunton Park, but it is the chance to play his part in another promotion challenge that appeals most.
Martin is halfway through a three year deal with Peterborough, but his future looks uncertain after the recent departure of Darren Ferguson.

Norwich City have confirmed that they have signed Swindon winger Anthony McNamee on an emergency loan deal until the 4 January 2010.
The 25 year old joined the Robins from Watford in January 2008 having made 103 appearances for the Hornets, before a permanent move to The County Ground for an undisclosed fee, where he has made 88 appearances for Swindon in all competitions, scoring four goals.
Reports had emerged during the day that McNamee had missed training with the County Ground side to make his way to Norfolk to tie up the loan move.
The winger will be unable to play in either the FA Cup or Johnstone’s Paint Trophy for City having previously played in both competitions for Swindon Town.
