Paul Lambert will be scratching his head again today after his sides injury problems increased following City’s trip to the West Country on Saturday.
The City boss has confirmed that Adam Drury will miss tomorrow evenings fixture against Swindon Town due to knee problems that restricted the left backs action on Saturday, whilst Rhoys Wiggins, Drury’s replacement at the weekend, is also doubtful for City’s trip to Wiltshire having also picked up a knock to the knee.
Cover for left and right back is extremely thin on the ground with Drury and Wiggins now joining Otsemobor, Francomb, and Spillane in the treatment room, and although Askou filled in at right back on Saturday, Lamberts options for left back coverage is pretty much non-existent with Simon Lappin missing tomorrow nights game after picking up his fifth booking of the season.
Grant Holt also picked up his fifth yellow card of the season on Saturday and will acompany Lappin in sitting out the game at the County Ground as they serve their one match suspensions.
Lambert must name at least six players with the most appearances so far this season to ensure he meets JPT rules and avoid being fined, which taking into account the ever growing list of injuries and suspensions, will leave the City manager with very limited options.
